TOAC's chat, "REAL COPS - REAL ISSUES" is hosted by Officer Jim Mackay. Jim is currently assigned to the Southeastern Division of the San Diego Police Department. San Diego is the sixth largest city in the United States. Southeastern Division is the cityís home to both of the nationís most notorious gang members that are constantly at war, the "Bloodís" and the "Cripís".

Jim has enjoyed working several assignments in his 11-year career, including the Departmentís Mountain Bike Team, Neighborhood policing Team, undercover narcotics and a walking detail to curb street robberies. Jim has been recognized by his Department, receiving several Commanding Officer Citations. Jim is a published writer of a short story about a shooting he was involved in, where a psychotic woman was trying to kill his partner.

Jim was also selected to work as part of the dignitary protection for several VIPís during the 1996 Republican National Convention in San Diego. Jim works the streets of San Diego using new age policing concepts and old fashioned police work. Jim brings this mix of new and old style of policing to his "REAL COPS" Radio program. And we're honored to have Jim as TOAC's Correspondent, and the host of our chatoom, "REAL COPS - REAL ISSUES".
